Average fata of buying from small businesses
We conducted a survey before the festive season to examine the purchasing plans and attitudes of 1,000 Americans, and how they felt about buying from small businesses for this year’s Christmas presents. Our insights show who’s at the top of our gift lists, how much we’re willing to invest, and where we’re planning to buy, and when. The most heartening finding is that after a very demanding year most Americans are committed to helping small businesses.

Importance of business having online store
Most of us are going to mix shopping online and in-store. We found that 18 to 24 year-olds are most likely to combine in-store and online shopping (61 percent) this Christmas among different age groups, while 30 to 34 year-olds (51 percent) and 55 to 59 year-olds (46 percent) are also likely to combine both. Of the age groups we surveyed, 40% said they would shop in store from 55 to 59 years of age, making them bigger in-store shoppers than younger age groups.
Is online shopping much convenience?
Of those individuals who prefer to shop online, most do so out of convenience (56 percent ). One in five (21 percent) say, however they will prefer to shop online this year because of safety concerns regarding COVID-19.
